The first week here at Mia & Pup has been awesome! I'm definitely liking this space, as it's much more me! (Sorry for the late post today!) I have some DIY projects ready for next week, so stay tuned for that! I thought it might be fun to share some thoughts and a few things that inspired me during the week in a series. So, I'm dubbing these posts Friday Vibes. These will vary week to week, but will always include some thoughts and inspiration.
This Friday in particular was a great one! We had International Day at our school where we celebrated the United Nation's International Year of Family Farming. It ended up being really informative and a lot of fun for all of the students. We even have a school garden now, so I can't wait to get the little ones out there to explore the new addition.
I've been really inspired by geometric patterns lately, so this baby shower from Style Me Pretty Living had to be included this week. I love how this can be easily recreated and keeps to a more minimal approach. This finger painting by Chad Wys is so inspiring as well. The colors pop, and it makes me want to create something in this palette! Speaking of colors, I love the new trend of white walls in the home, because it allows for change and a huge dose of uniqueness and freedom. This space from Fantastic Frank absolutely blows me away! I love the clean feel and the use of geometric shapes throughout (Did you catch those hexagon mirrors?). On a more serious note, I have been thinking quite a bit about things happening around the world from the situation in Syria to the Ebola outbreak in West Africa. I think it is so important to keep up to date on these issues, but I always find inspiration from the photos in The Guardian's "Photo Highlights of the Day" section.
I hope you all have an amazing weekend! Thanks for sharing this space. What inspired you this week?
