It is really starting to heat up around here...literally. Santiago is a beautiful city, and it feels like summer will be a hot one this year. I am so excited, because our apartment just recently opened the pool area for use. That is probably all I will be doing tomorrow afternoon. Relaxation is much needed, and our weekend is going to be pretty busy.
Tonight, we are going to our friends' home for a quincha, or barbeque. Tomorrow, aside from the pool day, we are going to check out that Jazz Club we wanted to go to for Derek's birthday. We finally found the correct address! Sunday is also going to busy, because we are going to the site of the new Bahá'í temple right here in Santiago. A good friend of ours practices the faith and asked us to tag along to check out the site. It isn't finished yet, but we thought it sounded like a great experience. Also, after I saw the concepts on their website, I knew I had to see this architecture. Hopefully we'll be able to take some good photographs. So, as you can see, our weekend is pretty full. We usually don't plan ahead so much, but I'm excited to get the weekend started.
Also, I'm excited to announce that the shop will open next month. It will start with just a few original prints, but I'm hoping to get some original canvas pieces in there soon that will be a physical shipment! The first prints will be downloadable, so you can access them right away! You may have noticed the new .com domain name as well! It is so much easier, and I'm happy to finally have that out of the way.
This week has been full of inspiration. 100 Layer Cakelet shared a great nursery from LB Events earlier this week (pictured above), and I am still thinking about it. The fact that this little guy can grow into his room makes it so much better. It is still playful but has that modern edge to it that always catches my eye. I talked a little more about finding inspiration during the mornings in this post, and I loved this post from la la Lovely on good mornings and routines from a mother's perspective as well! Speaking of mornings, breakfast is so important, and these ideas from The Lovely Drawer and Food by Mars (my personal favorite food blog ever) are top notch!
Happy weekend! What do you have planned?
