Another week in the books. Is it just me, or is time flying? This definitely isn't bothering me at all, because I am so ready for the holidays to come. (Speaking of which, did you see my holiday mood boards yesterday?) My family is coming to visit, and I am seriously on pins and needles waiting for their arrival. We have a very busy weekend coming up with a traiditional paella tonight with friends and sports day at our school tomorrow. I am looking forward to a quiet Sunday with Derek. We may end up venturing out, but I like not having plans. We can see where the day takes us.
This week has definitely been on point as far as I am concerned. I found so many fun ideas, inspiring spaces and people, and I am excited to share them with you today!
+ Get Organized: While I am not a huge list maker, I do love a written planner. Since 2015 is approaching, I've been looking around for a new one. They help me remember if I have a few different places with my plans and calendars. I use my phone for a lot of things, but I love planners. I usually get them from Target or Barnes & Noble, but this year I have to go elsewhere, since we are in Chile. I am so excited that today Elle & Co. launched their new planner! If you are super organized, The Day Designer is great, too. If you are an art lover, Rifle Paper & Co. and Oh So Beautiful Paper have some beautiful designs. How do you keep track of your plans?
+ What's Cookin'?: I am so excited for Thanksgiving next week. I really want to try being a little more adventurous and try adding a few of these toppers to my pies. This recipe for root vegetable hash looks so good to have as well. I like the idea of adding some non traditional recipes with some of the timeless classics. This year we'll have more of a "friendsgiving," so I know the homesickness will settle in soon. However, I'm looking forward to this time with our friends.
+ Itty Bitty Inspiration: The idea of tiny fashion is just overwhelmingly adorable to me. I was so excited when I found out one of my favorite modern artists, Kelli Murray, was opening her own kids' fashion line. Her signature faded colors perfectly carry over to the designs and patterns for Riley + Cru. Mini fashion is the name of the game over at Free and Wild Child, and I loved this particular shoot.
+ I'm (Not) a Barbie Girl: The launch of the Lammily doll happened Wednesday, and I am so excited about the message it sends to young people and society as a whole. It basically tells us that is okay to be ourselves, love our bodies how they are, and embrace the little quirks and things that make us unique like freckles, cellulite, and even acne. Have you seen this doll yet? If not, it is a definite addition to your shopping list if your children are asking for dolls. See more over here!
Have an awesome weekend! What are your plans?
