Whether you are an experienced yogi or new to the world of meditation, we all have one thing in common. We need time to ourselves. This time is crucial to relax, clear our minds, refresh our points of view, or sometimes even to give us the kick in the butt we need to stop being so hard on ourselves or others. Meditation is a key ingredient to doing just that. Meditation doesn't always mean lying down or sitting in full lotus for hours, though it can be that if that is what your body and mind need. I love lying down and listening to guided meditations to help me stay focused and clear my thoughts of anything else that may be going on in my life for that half hour to an hour.
